I drop a comment each time I especially enjoy a post on a blog or I have something to contribute to the discussion.

It’s caused by the passion displayed in the article I browsed. And after this post Color Cartoons – Beattie Cartoons. I was moved enough to drop a thought πŸ˜‰ I actually do have 2 questions for you if it’s okay.
Is it only me or does it seem like a few of the comments appear like they are written by brain dead people?
πŸ˜› And, if you are posting at other online sites, I would
like to keep up with anything fresh you have to
post. Would you make a list every one of all your community sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or
    twitter feed?

      Hi!

      Thanks for the kind words.

I’m not doing cartoons on other sites, or any of the social networking sites, but that might change.

As for posts by “brain dead” people, I have made so many “brain dead” statements in my life that
I don’t really label them as such anymore. Makes it too hard to look in the mirror.

      Hope this finds you well.

      Best,

      Bruce Beattie

I was talking to Lee Dunkel about you because I have a cartoon idea that I wanted to share with you. I apologize in advance because I’m sure you already have plenty ideas without mine. Just the same, I’ll try to attach the idea here:

A few years ago (25 years?) there was a TV ad with two old ladies driving a ’69 Cadillac with bad , squeaky brakes creeping along with people honking. That’s all I remember but I thought that was a good cartoon idea.
    ————————————————————

There is a steep, winding mountain road named “Road to Recovery.” (or progress) The words road to recovery can be down below the “road” line so as not to take up space. It road twists off to the right or left from a close-up of a limo with a Mercedes star on the front. Yes, Marty never tires of showing that the rich do not support American union workers. You can see cars and trucks getting smaller as the road gets smaller in perspective around twists and turns. We just need to see that the smaller ones are lots of cars and trucks.

In the limo we must be able to recognize John Boehner driving and Mitch McConnell in the back; driver’s side windows. The car door has a business-type sign that reads, “NEED TO STAY RELEVANT.” Up on top is a luggage rack with boxes and crates labeled: budgetary crises 1-300, Stop Obamacare #78, Hide the JOBS BILL #56, Impreach Obama Suggestions etc.
    “Say NO to Everything!” etc.

Boehner appears to be straight back against the car seat with arms extended stiffly-but looking at us out the window. McConnell, in a speech bubble, is shouting, “Keep both feet on the brakes!!”

Behind them is a big semi truck with a full-length business type sign that reads, “PROGRESS AND INVESTMENTS.” The driver of the truck has his head-with a baseball cap- and arm out the window. He’s speaking with a speech bubble, “GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!” Behind him are other speech bubbles and horn bubbles as space allows. “MOVE IT!” or “HONK!” Another van has a sign, “JOBS NOW!”

      Hi Marty!

Thanks for the great idea, but as you may know, I no longer do political cartoons.
      Thanks for the comment, though.

      Best,

      Bruce Beattie

Mr.Beattie you should still do political cartoons. These are awesome and I have checked out the politic ones and they are too. You should keep it up even with your new career. What you show us is awesome and you are really good. A few of us are really inspired by you. Because of you I started my drawings and poetry again. Thank for being there. You always comment on our work even if we think it’s horrible. You are the best and never forget that! I would be very happy if you comment back and we could possibly have a conversation through emails so it’s more private that this. Also if you would check out some of my writings. I will send you a link at a later time.

  4. With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of
plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has
a lot of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d
    definitely appreciate it.

  6. Greetings! Very useful advice in this particular article!
It is the little changes that make the most significant changes.

    Thanks for sharing!

Greetings! Glad to see your work online – you have done an admirable job of keeping a low profile!

Wanted to share my appreciation of the “What can we do to lesson the grip of fear from terrorism” cartoon, which does not seem to appear on this site. I believe it first appeared in Newsweek although I can find no proof. Incredibly, I hadn’t seen this cartoon for around 10 years (since I stopped reading Newsweek?!) but it made such an impression. Still very apropos.

    Cheers!
